I'm putting my 3.0 on a stand soon, and I bolted the stand to it last night without an adapter. It bolts up, but the contact is the thin ring of aluminum around which the trans seats.
Is this a definite no-go, or can I do this if I am careful?
I could make adapters to go from the lg ID of the stand arms to the smaller studs on the engine, and then have a step to properly position over the edge of the case.
