Friend of mine has a private L-39 and he loves it. Is a captain for Jet Blue so he has some jet time under his belt.
Its not difficult to fly but you need some background with planes and faster the better. There is a place in Santa Fe that will train people in the L-39 but do not know them. If you are interested can put the two of you in touch.
