You can ship anything but depending on what it is, it may be difficult with the customs. High value items they tend to take longer and the receiver has to pay high duty on the package.
I have shipped items to friends there and usually its parts that they paid for themselves. As I am not receiving any funds from them I send the package marked gift and that seems to help.
The US mail works fine, as does FedEx, UPS or DHL if it needs to go fast.
