Dave, unfortunately for me, neither one of these units will accept video directly. The PC was a low end unit five+ years ago (so it's a real piece of you know what now) but it does have a big new hard drive and decent memory. The laptop is only about 18 months old but is also a bottom end unit.
From what I can gather it seems as if I need to cough up about $40 to buy some dedicated DVD ripping software. I was just hoping one of you guys would have another suggestion.
