I've always thought that "big spending" label the Republicans succeeded in pinning on "liberals" was phoney--heck, they all spend money in Washington--conservatives and liberals--just on different things.
What's new is cutting taxes and fighting a war on the next generation's money--I guess it takes a "conservative" to pull that one off.
