You're the one that tried to put words into my mouth saying I don't believe the government should curtail its spending and exercise fiscal responsibility. I actually believe quite the opposite, but I'm willing to live with a less rosy alternative of "tax-and-spend" policies in the short term in order to fix more pressing problems. Once those are fixed, we can get rid of the bleeding-heart handouts. It's called "phasing". It's also called "priorities". I'd love to have my cake and eat it too, but I guess I'm a little more realistic than that to think that we'll get both from Washingtoon politicans - ANY Washingtoon politicians (regarless of "D" or "R" label).
