Please separate social programs from "socialism". Otherwise the concept becomes just as meaningless as "liberal" and "conservative".
A comment on defense spending....As a small percentage of GDP......If this percentage were to be increased, how would we pay for it? (And don't say cut the social programs unless you are willing to be specific...VERY specific....otherwise the solution is simply a strawman) Would it require an increase in some kind of taxes?
