I feel this way about all music. Yes, I have heard songs that I like but I could spend the rest of my life without hearing another song.

I know this doesn't add to my life and I am not against music, I just don't "get" it.

Other people must have this problem.
Wow. I couldn't go a day w/o music. I don't play, but it's a huge part of my life and always has been. It's my drug.

I just saw a stadium show one week ago for the first time in god knows how long, maybe 17 years? It was my friend's band, RHCP, and it was in Minnesota at the very site of my first show ever, which was Black Sabath/war pigs tour in 1972(?) The sound was surprisingly not too bad, they have completely rebuilt the hockey stadium since the old days when I saw the Stones on every tour, Led Zep 3 different times, The Who, etc., etc....

My last stadium show before last week was The Stones and Guns and Roses at the L.A. Coloseum in '89. That was memorable because of Gn'R, but the RS became a corporation rather than a band a long time ago. By the 1981 "Start Me Up" tour it was all over for them, IMO. God, I've seen that band a lot of times.

Sorry to hear about that experience, Tabs, it sounds like you are a real fan like my brother-in-law. I love them for what they were in one brief, shining moment but that's about it. Don't think I would pay a nickel to see them now, but that's also because I'm cheap. I've seen a lot of great music, though, including McCartney and Wings in '76 which was phenomenal. Top 5 all-time for me.
