We recently entertained the notion of moving up to a 996....even saw a nice one at a dealer (a 2000 with 11,000 miles) and I knew the service history and previous owner. The sales manager was looking out the window at my car and told me that it wasn't his nature to "queer a deal," but he said that he'd never consider getting rid of a car like mine. I also considered the fact that the 996's aren't as user-friendly when it comes to projects, upgrades, or repairs. Decide to keep what I have.
