While you probably think your conclusions about the Bible are the only rational, correct ones......it is a brute fact that different conclusions can be drawn. Convincingly.
Just as it is crystal clear to you that the Bible is an unreliable bunch of hooey, it is at least as clear to Christians what the Bible does. And what Jesus said. And frankly, Jesus' life and deeds and remarks are not disputed as historical fact. I mean, not by the professionals. Historicians do not throw a blanket of doubt over those events. Amateurs do that. Historicians consider Jesus life to be one of the most well-documented events in ancient times.
At any rate, Jesus said he did not come to judge. He came to divide. Christians see this very very clearly. WE decide. All of Christianity boils down to Jesus question to Peter. "Who do you say I am?"
Either you believe Jesus is the world's most hilarious hoax......or you believe Jesus is who He said He is. Either a lunatic......or the Son of God. Pretty wide range there, but there is no middle ground. You seem to reject the assertion that Jesus is the Son of God.
You made your choice. Other conclusions are quite defensible, but you've decided to place your eggs in this basket. Rejection. Good luck with that.
