Luthier is known as Hiroshi Kid. He's probably 2nd or 3rd on the list of replica V guys that are allegedly no longer building the dead nuts accurate Gibson copies with the old wood. These guitars were built in Japan in the '90s. This is only the 3rd Hiroshi Kid V I've ever seen for sale.

There are probably a dozen great luthiers out there that can build guitars like this today when they have the access to good wood. The templates are available and the details are documented fairly well at this point. I wont mention names if I know the guy is still building, but they are out there

I've got a couple of other handmade replica's of '50s Gibson guitars and a '66 ES-345 right now. Also a Tele project, a replica Les Paul project, and a wrecked '60s EB-2 bass that Im going to convert to a 335
