I had it done 5 years ago - both the Tonsills and Uvula. I won't lie to you, it sucked for about 2 weeks. The first week I didn't eat much at all and the second week it got a little better. I feels like a really bad sore throat for a few weeks. I would strongly reccomend it to any one who gets cronic sore throats and also anybody who snores bad. I used to snore so bad my wife slept in another room and that was after she would repeatedly kick me in the ribs to wake up. After the Uvulectomy she used to wake me to see if I ws still alive - I slept so quite she thought I was dead!

I suffered from sleep apnea (sp) now I don't. I haven't had a sore throat in 5 years either.
