My wife used to be in charge of a business that sold products to the US military. She was young and eager and wanted to expand her business so she thought she would try to contact the Canadia Air Force to see if they would buy her product. It was a hit with the US Air Force. We live in Minnesota, so she thought it would be a no brainer.

It took her a week, but she finally located the Canadian Air Force. She finally got a supply guy on the line and gave her pitch. He kindly explained to her the size of the Canadian Air Force and the fact that they really were not a good customer and could get what they needed at Walmart. She asked increduluously who protected Canada? He responded, equally increduluously, "Why the US Air Force, of course".

True story. Maybe she should have tried the Navy and called the guy in the canoe.
