It's still a "horses for courses" kind of thing. Because of their weight, HP and the more heavily loaded tire, the NASCAR stock cars would be long course kind of car and most likely happiest at Road America, Daytona and Le Mans. I'm pretty sure that the JGTC and LM-GT cars would be faster around something like Sebring, once again assuming no air restrictors. With the air restricters the LM-GT cars are giving away a couple of hundred HP to the NASCAR Cup stock cars, although the GT cars are considerably lighter. At a short "handling" track like Lime Rock Park last year, the pole setting Corvette (Darren Turner) turned a lap of 50.272 seconds. The pole winning Busch East car for the September race (Matt Kobyluck) toured the track in 54.256. I would expect a Cup car to be faster around the track then a Busch car, but I'm not sure if it would be 4 seconds over a 1.5 mile course.
