I was at the game yesterday.
Highlights:
Sometime in the fourth quarter the WHOLE UCLA team gathered in a tight mob and started jumping. The Bruins fans soon caught on to what the team was doing and started going nuts. Mind you this is all happening during a time out. When the Trojans saw what was going down, they bunched up too and started jumping. The SC fans went nuts. The mobs started yelling at eachother across the field while getting closer to the center of the field where the game officials were hanging out. The offcials started throwing their flags before the mobs got too close. As soon as the flags dropped both teams returned to their side. It was at that point that 90,622 of us realized that UCLA had the balls to win this game. It may not sound so impressive, but it was one of the coolest things I've seen at a college football game and I'm a totally neutral Oregon Duck.
I've never been to the Rose Bowl before yesterday... Tailgating on a golf course?!? I look forward to going there again, a very spirited atomosphere. You can't beat palying bocci ball in a sandtrap.
Best rivial shirt of the day:
Trojans don't get tased.
