If ya' want a real hoot, pull a FOIA request on your local P.D.'s response time for violent crimes in your community. In mine (five years ago) I did this and found out it was over EIGHT MINUTES for response to a violent 9-1-1 call. I'm certain it's gotten worse since, not better. Yet they can still find time to sit on their asses for hours on the roadside with a radar gun and to patrol the streets issuing $50 parking violations tickets in the residential neighborhoods. Yep. Lets you know right where the priorities are. . .

Anyone that believes in the functional working of our "democracy" and this principle when such B.S. is rampant and only one small segment of government "revenue first" policies is either very naive or very stupid. Or a politician themselves.
