The group of lawyers need to do a better job of cleaning up their profession, then many of us would agree more with you.
After saying that, no this gent did not deserve to die but after you are bent over time after time by the lawyers around the world, who are judged by judges who were a lawyer before being a judge, it can make some people go "round the bend" so to speak.
When the lawyers themselves put their foot down and start stopping their fellow members from screwing everyone in sight it might make people feel differently about their profession.
This is not a feeling that has started recently "The first thing we do," said the character in Shakespeare's Henry VI, is "kill all the lawyers."
