So,
maybe 2400 people were without dial-up internet access for 2 minutes and the boss gets pissed? Someone (the boss) needs to take a big deep breath, that is not even remotely an issue.
The girl? Sad now perhaps but there are plenty of things out there to replace her with (in no particular order): another one, another two, recreational pharmaceuticals, volunteering, skiing, video games, beer with some friends, quality time with the dog.
