Actually he also owned some plain Jane domestic as a DD for a long time... an Oldsmobile I think.
Reminds me of the story he did about "Salt Cars"; sacrificial winter beaters. He was complaining that you couldn't get cheap, but quirky & interesting winter cars anymore, like Fiats, Renaults etc...
