He was a funny guy and talented actor. It was interesting to learn that he was a good friend of Lennon, a few years back.
VH1 had a special on Lennon's death and they interviewed Boyle as he had been spending a lot of time with John in NYC just prior to his death. I think they talked on the same day as it happened. Seemed like kind of an odd couple at first, since Boyle is American and seems much older than Lennon...but in actuality they were about the same age, give or take a few years. Anyway, he was good and will be missed.
