You have to get a lawyer who specializes in auto accidents. Don't go to a general business lawyer who also does personal injury if it comes in the door, don't use a general practice litigator who dabbles in personal injury, don't use a commercial litigator who says "sure, I can handle a personal injury case". Get someone who does only plaintiffs' personal injury/auto cases. Someone who specializes in your kind of case will make short work of the adjuster.
