Media time is too expensive and the viewing area too big in New York/New Jersey/Connecticut and we don't have those commercials. (But the daily newspapers are full of the same scams.)
But when I travel, I love to watch the small town hucksters and commercials for used car dealers. A long and tawdry tradition starting with patent medicines sold out of the back of wagons 150 years ago. Real Americana.
