I have a personal theory (that and a token will get you on the bus) that chocolate labs are more prone to genetic health issues than yellows or blacks. If you look at coat color inheritance in labs, chocolate is a double recessive. So it is harder to get dogs which will produce chocolates than yellows or blacks. I figure anytime you have to breed to a more difficult target, you will end up collecting several traits common in "overbred" dogs.

Hopefully this pup has a little mix in her, I really don't want another dog with seizures and horrible hips. We'll see...
