I guess what I perceive as a loss of freedom and what you perceive it to mean is a bit different Supe. Most of what I perceive as losses of freedom have to do with not being able to enjoy life any more due to the lawsuit stricken society we live in now. The enviromentalists IMO, also have a big role in this. It is my opinion that many republicans are more likely to attempt to slow this phenomenon than the dems (who often seem to want more of it regarding lawsuits and restrictive laws regarding the enviroment).

A few hot buttons for me off the top of my head
Riding dirt bikes or off road vehicles
Gun control
Ridiculous law suits causing insurance rates to skyrocket
Fun stuff not being offered by businesses anymore due to fear of lawsuits (diving boards at motels for instance)
Smoking bans (I don't smoke but those who do are getting screwed)


Half of the stuff I used to do for fun as a kid, now would make the national news for god's sake!

I guess I just want some things to stay the same and I feel in GENERAL, republicans are more likely to fight for what is important to me in those regards. I do know however it is a losing battle in the long run.
