The title refers to a motel room that somehow became disconnected from reality. The room can be accessed
anywhere by using the its key in any door, and from inside the hotel room the occupant can exit anywhere on the planet there is a door. So basically, the room lets you teleport to anywhere there's a door. Which leads to some very clever uses during the show.
