David, PMed you back - thanks!

Shaun, TRE almost has too much to choose from. Makes me want to add the flares to get some wider wheels in there. Budget restricts me from doing that much this time around. Looking at those makes me lean away from the stock look (as JW suggests) so I can loose all those light fixtures I don't need anymore.
I don't know your budget, but if this is a first time track car based on a stock SC, I'd prioritize my money into
1. Safety: cage, fuel cell, fire suppression. these have got to come first if you are serious about putting the car on the track
2. Suspension and brakes
3. Shifting and Transmission
4. Motor
5. Bodywork

I like to think that a first car should be slow but nimble first. a great way to learn how to drive well. As your skill increases, so do your needs to make the car faster, and obviously slower faster. That's the time to go for the flares, big wheels, big brakes, big motor and ultimately big ego.

Don't try to build the car you think you will need 3 years from now. It's definitely important to have fun in the process of getting there.

Just my $.02.
