I'm also a big fan of small, local banks. Key Bank, WA MU, US Bank, B of A, all are too big for any local control, or local decisions.

One of the commercial loans I have was approved on my first meeting, with the bank's founder and president. Sat down at his desk, talked about the project for ten or twenty minutes, and he said no problem, he'd have the loan docs drawn up, and I could sign them tommorrow.
