My closest friend was a 15 jockey. The calmest, most deliberate unassuming guy you'd want to meet. We'd be a bar and a girl would ask, "What do you do?" He'd say, "I sell vacuum cleaners" or something. He's landed one with an engine hanging half-way out. I think when you've seen Mach 2 and 6g's, cockpit fires and been shot at, everything else
seems is ordinary.
