I have a New England Firearms .410 which I used to learn to shoot skeet. It's about as basic as you can get, break barrel single shot with a manual hammer, full choke. I realize that this is not what you would be looking for, but I wanted to echo your comment that using a .410 is a challenge! I became pretty good with sporting clays, skeet etc with that .410 and in comparison the grouping of a 12 or even 16 gauge is just luxurious... it's like learning how to handle a 911 with a 2.0 engine and then upgrading to a 3.6.
