You can certainly say that about other current and past cultural icons, Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, Willie etc...

We should take Sammy to see George Clinton. He might get a part of it.

Last time I saw George it was a 2 hour show but only 5 songs, 20 guys on stage, Macy Grey sat in as well as Tommy Lee on drums.

THAT was a good time.
