All of the 959s and other cars bought in on the "show and display" comply with the EPA emission regulations for the year of manufacture. The cars do not have to comply with the DOT crash-test standards.
Bruce Canepa, among others who modifies the 959s, installs catalysts and air pumps.
As usual the local politicians worry about things that do not change anything and forget about "basics"
