or folks were out hiding from the sun, like in Tenerife,Spain at around 13h00-14h00, same thing, deserted while folks are hiding from the sun
there usually will be a couple of white people who just arrived the day before on their first visit to Tenerife... and then you won't see em for the rest of the week, at least not during sunlight, and definately no longer white, not even pink, just bright red, with plenty of post burn lotion, and scabs all over...
then there's happy hour at 17h00, and those who know better will come out from Siesta, and start warming up for the real work later that night..
Cuba is even closer to the equator then Tenerife...
