I just bought one of those mufflers, and the interior is just an "X" of perforated tubing. One would think that opposing the inlet like you have done will result in a negative effect to high flow at high RPM. It may be good for muffling, but it may be harmful to an scavenging effect in the exhaust. But then again I don't sell mufflers...
