Since purchasing our home in North Carolina we have been spending any free time we have up there. We head out to hiking trails and land features you can climb to the top of.
Guess what? No alarmingly obese people in motor scooters with 6 kids dancing around them.
Just lots of thin people or at the least people trying to get in good shape, with an uncountable amount of labradors enjoying nature. No crowds, no overpriced concessions.
I may never take my kids back to Disney and I really do not think they are missing anything. I would prefer them to hike to a peak or discover a waterfall in the forest than stand in a line for 2 hours to ride a 20 second ride.
