Just to add a little info: I'm 180#, 5'10", 36" waist. I often use a 'Stitch 42R with the sportbike insert. No problem with several different back protectors-the one I've found most comfortable is made by Bohn specifically for this suit. I used this gear for some 20 trackdays or so on an R1100S and I think you'll have no problems initially. Once you start to go fast and have to shift position on the bike very precisely you may find that the suit feels like it's slowing your responses-at least that was my excuse when I bought the Dainesse. Seriously, no problems and great protection: I eventually had a pretty exciting highside with no damage(to me, that is).
