Uhmmmmm, have you seen one of these 917 "replicraps" up close? I'm thinking you haven't.
I have, they are as good or better than the real thing except for the engine.
They are not anything like the POS lazer 917 VW kits that came out a zillion years ago.

I tell you what, i'll save up $100k for one of these new 917s with a nice 3.6 or turbo 3.3, you save up a million or two for the real thing and then another $100k to get it running and keep it running, and we'll see who gets to the finish line first and fastest.

These are the real deal. As close to the original as you will ever find. One of these "replicraps" sold at barrett jackson last year for over $175,000

There's one running around with a 962 twin turbo engine, I bet that would be a nice ride.
