Put the crankshaft in such a position that none of the pistons are near the top. Reinstall the camshaft pulley (with the key, etc.) and rotate the camshaft to the proper position.
Then rotate (by hand, of course) the camshaft to TDC on #1. If you sense any obstruction, rotate the crank in the opposite direction until you get TDC.
The rest of the installation is left as an exercise...
