Well during one of Fla. best years, they were inelligible due to recruiting violations...oops.
Problem with the SEC is there isn't two good teams in th conference, historically there's usaully at least four. (Fla, LSU, AUB, Tenn, and sometimes ALA.)
They tend to knock each other out of contention for a national championship. This year there were only three real good teams in the SEC. FLA, Aurburn, and LSU. Not to mention the cross state rivelry with Fla State. From 1990-2002 that game has been significance in how the teams place.
Ohio state plays Michigan, Texas and....well, that's about it. Both of them, this year, were not that good.
