English speaking kids cant ride the bus.
What a load, damn this town is weird.
ST PAUL, Minn. -- A St. Paul woman is angry because her children were told they couldn't continue riding a school bus because they speak English.
Rachel Armstrong had to leave work early to pick up her 10-year-old twin daughters and eight-year-old son at Phalen Lake Elementary School.
She said the bus driver told the children they couldn't ride the bus anymore because the route was designated for non-English speakers attending a special language academy in the district. The district began enforcing the rule Monday but didn't tell the Armstrong family.
School administrators apologized but didn't agree to let Armstrong's children continue riding the bus.
It also turns out that when the family moved last year, they landed outside of Phalen's attendance area. So if they want to continue attending Phalen Lake Elementary, they'll have to find their own ride.
