Pelican MDs, question about healing bones
Appealing this one to the Pelican Brain Trust. This morning I bumped my hand rather forcefully against a piece of (very) solid steel. Hurt like hell instantly and I felt something pop on the back of my hand, right side. I grabbed it immediately and I felt something go pop and then there was a big ol' lump sticking out. ER visit said "nothing broken" but I've heart that before (L7 vertebrae, which really WAS broken) and they put a plaster splint on it with my hand in the Walk Like an Egyptian pose. They told me to come back in a week for follow-up X-Rays.
If it really IS broken will having it in this position for a week mess stuff up?
Should I just wait it out?
