Ah, I HATE the "drop-and-shudder"!!! Fixing my vacuum line leaks helped it, but it is still there. I wonder if low fuel pressure could make this worse as well?

At any rate, if it's dropping TOO much (i.e. almost dying) you may want to check vacuum lines. Heck, I'd check them anyway, they are a weak spot on these cars, and there's lots of them.
