Unfortunately the only sushi places I really like are in town. Steve, know of any good ones on our side of town?

My favorite place so far in Houston is in Town, Kubo's. Great stuff there, but a pain to drive to.
On our side of town there's not much that's good. There's the Tokyo Bowl on Bay Area. I know lots of people like it, but the atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired. There's a new Tokyo Bowl near my work at Cullen and 518 that's pretty good and a much nicer, bigger place.
There's a new place on Bay Area just north of Space Center called Hoshizuna. It's pretty decent. My wife has had Chirashi (fish on a bed of rice) there a couple of times and liked it. I had a great bowl of Katsu don. She was there for lunch with a friend once when someone asked for "crab puffs". The owner said something like, "that's not Japanese food so we won't serve it here." I think that's a good sign. I'll definitely eat there again.
