I had insomnia for 20+ years. I would run on 2-3 hours of sleep most nights.

About a year ago it stopped and it makes no sense to me. I am under much much more stress than ever in my life, so that's not it. I'm also in the worst physical shape of my life. Hell if I know, but I'd gladly go back to insomnia for the old me and scenerio.

Edit:

I forgot that I quit smoking 2 years ago, but I'm not sure I buy that as the remedy as I had insomnia before I smoked as well.
