Thats a big part of it... but remember 2 things...
1. The 914 -6 GT won it's class in the 1970 LeMans race, beating out a bunch of 911s with bigger engines. It only had to have fuel, tires, and brake pads during the 24 hours. And it took 6th overall, beating a bunch of prototype cars.
2. The majority of the PCA parade AX top times in the last 20 years have been a 914.
And you guys take this way to seriously...... I like 911s. I also like picking on their drivers.
