manually opening hood

i was helping my friend replace his alternator, and battery. The hood and trunk managed to get closed, and since both are electric, im wondering how i can get to the manual release or to the fuse that powers the solenoids so i can manually pop the lids. i can just hook power to the lighter outlet since the alternator lead is resting on the block and according to the crappy wiring diagram i have there is no main fuse link, so i cant just jump the car and sacrifice the fuse. My diagram also does not include a schematic that has either solenoid or their switches.

based on the disassembly guide there is a manual release somewhere, possibly in the drivers fender well area?? if its under the tail light how do you remove it with the trunk closed

if anyone has a schematic with the hood/trunk circuits that would be great

Thanks
