As it stands, dad is having the car shipped by hansens. However, it'll be a couple weeks before it can be picked up. We had to get the seller to keep his insurance in the meantime, dad's insurance co wouldn't cover it until it had a canadian appraisal.

My hope is to get a car this time next year. My preference would be to buy from a private seller... just wondering how I'd get around the insurance. Surely folks aren't driving cars back from the US with just liability!?
