Yes. Mother in law, not fun but we just address everything head-on.

She isn't allowed on our property, we keep visits to public places where she isn't as likely to make a scene, and if she does we can split easily.

We also use the buddy system so no one is alone around her, so she is less likely to distort conversations and make accusations.

Be very, very careful.
