I spent many hours at Baron Applience and Hoover Vacuum as well as Royal. The factory and quality were fine but the people on the assembly lines seemed out of it. They did there jobs well don't get me wrong but they had this look in their eyes that spelt out dispair. I hadn't seen that in other factories. It was just interesting that the these were appliance factories. Textile plants ran a close second. Must be that the workers feel pressure from their Asain competition?
