Ebay is NOT concealing bidders identity. That is the choice of the seller. Some people legitimately conceal the bidders identity to keep fraudulent "second chance" listings from reaching them.
Other people conceal it for more nefarious reasons. Like to hide the fact that the "bidders" are the seller under a different identity, or even better to keep people who see this IS a fraud from contacting the sellers.
We got burned BIG TIME on ebay from a scam seller with a 3.0 engine. Even though we reported him to ebay, they would not do anything. The fellow opened up another auction with the same engine and a few other high end parts. I contacted all the bidders as the seller had not concealed their identities. In two cases, this kept people from paying the seller who did wind up with his account closed by Ebay. If I hadn't contacted them, they would have sent the money....
That's the real reason people with little or no feedback and short history on ebay like to conceal the ID of the bidders. When you see that BEWARE.
