We have electric heat, and this month it was $320 for heat & lights. Not bad, considering we're down 18% over last year. Also, it's a ~140 yr old, 2200 sq ft farmhouse.

To be fair, we also burn wood... 4 cords @ $175. The wood heat puts a serious dent in the power bill. It's a fair bit of effort each year... stack it outside to dry it in the spring and then into the basement in the fall. Good excercise though.
